Image is something that we are all guilty of trying to project, we live in an image conscious society, obsessed with Instagram and Facebook profiles, with self proclaimed statements of our public lives... Everyone's life appears to be flawless, smiling faces, the newest material bling, the exterior projection of perfection.. The trap that many onlooking people fall into, is believing the filters, buying the unblemished fairytale and judging their own lives in comparison... Reaching for the unreachable.. leaving everyone caught in the chain chasing rainbows , based on half truths.. Barely anyone's life is flawless, the portrayal on social media was never intended maliciously to deceive, nonetheless rendering many of its readers inadequate.. I know many personal acquaintances, who proudly boast 1000s of friends on Facebook, yet sit in my cafe sipping cappuccino alone.. Real life starts with people, interaction.. not a like or a poke.. but a smile and a compliment.. In your day to day life, a positive generous action creates a ripple affect reaction.. How many times have you been picked up by a kind word, only to feel compelled to impose a nice compliment onto someone else, rubbing off the vibe.. Don't look too deep into those self indulged media profiles but chose to look deeply into a real friends eyes with conviction.. At least then, the truth is plain to see..
